Requirements:
Basic knowledge of automated testing
Basic Knowledge of using loops, conditional statements, arrays, regular expressions and operators in any programming language
Programming:
Usage of loops, conditional statements, arrays, regular expressions and operators in C# with practical exercises which you will be made to do during the session.
Selenium IDE:
Brief explanation of how Selenium IDE works.
Commands in Selenium IDE.
Practical exercises of using frequently used Selenium IDE commands.
Selenium RC:
Setting up Selenium RC and starting the Selenium RC proxy server.
Practical exercises of exporting the recorded scenario from Selenium IDE into Selenium RC C# script, amending the scenario in Visual studio according to the requirements.
Topics covered in this section:
>Parameterisation or data driven testing where you will input the parameters in excel spreadsheet and use each of those parameters in each iteration of the test case run. You will be made to code this during the session.
>Creating database checkpoint in SQL server. You will be made to code this during the session.
>Using regular expressions to automate the dynamic content in web sites.
>Usage of loops, conditional statements, arrays, regular expressions and operators to test the dynamic content in web sites.
>Using to identify and interact with the elements in a web page.
>Identifying and automating the flash objects inside a flash object.
>Integrating Visual studio with Nunit and Gallio.
>Generating the reports in a readable format using XSLT which can be used for UAT if needed.
Selenium Grid:
Setting up and using Selenium Grid to run tests on multiple machines for cross browser testing.
